"JEOPARDY!" HOST ALEX TREBEK IS VICTORIOUS AT THE 35th ANNUAL CREATIVE ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS®

(CULVER CITY, CA), June 16th, 2008—The National Television Academy has awarded Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek with the prestigious honor of Outstanding Game Show Host. This marks Alex Trebek’s 5th award for Outstanding Game Show Host─bringing the program’s overall total to 28 and securing its position as the most honored game show in television history.
The awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast during the 2007 calendar year.
Jeopardy!, a winner of 28 Emmy awards since its debut in 1984, was recently inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most awards won by a TV Game Show. The series is the #1-rated quiz show in syndication, and has held that title for over 1,000 weeks.
