As a longtime anchor for “20/20,” Elizabeth Vargas has seen and covered a lot. But the story of the Angulo brothers gets her nod as “most memorable.” For more than a decade, the brothers were locked in their family’s New York apartment and were rarely allowed to leave. Their father’s fear of the outside world was such that he didn’t want to expose them to life outside the apartment. Their only link to the world was through his collection of movies. The story was discovered and captured by filmmaker Crystal Moselle in “The Wolfpack,” which premiered with honors at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
