Jeopardy!'s Annual Birthday Celebration
The first episode of Jeopardy! aired on NBC at 11:30 a.m. on March 30, 1964, created by Merv Griffin and hosted by Art Fleming. The NBC daytime version of the show (which ran until 1975) paved the way for the current syndicated program that debuted in 1984. As part of an annual tradition started in 2022, we celebrate JeoparDAY! on March 30.
This year, we are giving fans the chance to win $6,200 in celebration of our 62nd birthday. Take the JeoparDAY! Giveaway Test to enter for a chance to win, and for a shot at becoming our next BIG champion.

MyJeopardy! account members must visit Jeopardy.com and take the special JeoparDAY! Giveaway Test during the entry period, which be open from 7:29:00 p.m. PT on March 29, 2026 through 2:59:59am PT on April 7, 2026.
I LIVE IN CANADA. MAY I ENTER THE GIVEAWAY?
The giveaway is open to residents of the 50 U.S., D.C. and Canada (excluding Quebec) but residents of Quebec can still take the test for their chance to be a contestant on Jeopardy!. See the Official Rules for more details.
