While catching up with Ken Jennings at Phinney Books in Seattle, we didn’t have to look far to find more of the J!Effect: The bookstore’s owner is eight-time Jeopardy! champion Tom Nissley. Tom bought the Seattle bookstore using part of his $235,405 in winnings, and over the course of the afternoon he shared with us the stories of his unexpected friendship with Ken, the “buffer” his winnings gave him and the craziest thing about being a Jeopardy! champ.
