Eight-Game Jeopardy! Champ Harrison Whitaker is on a Hot Streak

Reigning Jeopardy! champion Harrison Whitaker won his eighth game in a row on Thursday, bringing his total winnings to an impressive $218,600.

Harrison, a researcher originally from Terre Haute, Indiana, prevailed over Kara Brown and Blythe Roberson with a score of $10,399. Kara finished second with $5,999, and Blythe took third with $0. While Harrison held the lead for the majority of the game, Final Jeopardy! resulted in a Triple Stumper, with all three contestants responding incorrectly to the clue on WOMEN AUTHORS.

Throughout his winning streak, Harrison has proved to be a force at the contestant podium, clinching five of his eight victories in runaways.

Harrison posted the biggest single-game payout of Season 42 on Monday when he won his fifth game against Lawrence Suba and Rachel Bernstein. With that win, Harrison pushed his five-day total to $160,999 and secured his spot in next season’s Tournament of Champions.

Tune in tonight to see if Harrison can keep his winning streak going. If you need to catch up on this week’s games, each episode is available to stream on Hulu, Peacock, and Crave for seven days after it drops on each platform.
